　　(W)I stayed in a small hotel when I travelled to Japan last November.It was an old hotel built of wood in the 19th century and it kept a custom of using wood for a fire in the guest rooms.One evening when I was busy with nothing,I suddenly became interested in the fire.I picked up one piece of burning wood and carried it to the window to check if I could see the things outside in its light.However,when I opened the window,the wind blew in.The curtain caught fire.I was so frightened that I dropped the wood on the floor.The fire soon spread to the whole room.I rushed out and cried for help.It was pure luck that the manager was in the hotel and soon organized a lot of people.They put out the fire in 15 minutes.
